NEWPORT BEACH, CA - Dec. 5, 2016 - PRLog - Liz Ann Sonders, chief investment strategist of Charles Schwab, will be the keynote speaker for Canterbury Consulting’s 2017 annual investment forum on January 5, 2017. Canterbury Consulting is a Newport Beach-based independent investment advisory firm with $17 billion in assets under advisement.
Canterbury Consulting hosts the event for their endowment, foundation, healthcare and family clients. Sonders will provide her economic and market outlook at the Canterbury forum. Mihir Worah, a managing director for PIMCO’s Newport Beach office and CIO—asset allocation and real return, will address asset allocation. He is a member of PIMCO’s investment and executive committees and oversees portfolio management for the United States. Worah is a generalist portfolio manager who manages a variety of fixed income, commodity, and multi-asset portfolios.
Senior vice president and director of research for Templeton Global Macro, Sonal Desai, Ph.D., will discuss the current and future global fixed income environment. Dr. Desai is a portfolio manager on a number of funds, including Templeton Global Bond Fund and Templeton Global Total Return Fund. She is responsible for shaping the team's research agenda of in-depth global macroeconomic analysis covering thematic topics, regional and country analysis, and interest rate, currency, and sovereign credit market outlooks.
Harry W. Segalas, managing partner and chief investment officer of HS Management Partners (HSMP), will present on existing and forthcoming global equities concerns and opportunities. Prior to HSMP, he served as chairman, CEO, and chief investment officer of W.P. Stewart & Co. In addition to overseeing the firm’s U.S. investment team, Segalas directly managed institutional and high-net-worth client assets worldwide.
