Jacquelyn George, an Investment Analyst intern at Canterbury Consulting, competed with her team members from the Titan Capital Management program at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), in the Global Final of The CFA Institute Research Challenge. The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition providing university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive financial analysis and professional ethics training. Students are tested based on analytical, valuation, report writing, and presentation skills. CSUF and a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo team were named Americas Champions and represented the region on May 3, 2023, in Washington DC.
The competition began with 1,300 participating universities and 6,500 students and ended with the final five teams from the United States, Australia, Indonesia, Switzerland, and Italy. Jacquelyn and her team won first place in two regional rounds advancing to the final and most prestigious round with only three teams. The University of Sydney won first place, but the two Western Region Schools proudly represented the Americas in the Global Final, a first in the competition's history.
Canterbury congratulates Jacquelyn and her team members for their hard work and determination to reach the Global Final of The CFA Institute Research Challenge.
