Canterbury Consulting’s Director of Outsourced Investments, Poorvi Parekh, attended the RFKennedy Compass Investor Conference held at Hyannis Port from June 25-27, 2018. The conference — organized by RFK Compass, the investment arm of the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization — provided a platform for dialog between large investors, academics, political figures, and asset managers. This year, topics ranged from portfolio construction considerations in the current market environment and environmental, social, and governance investing; to private equity in Asia as well as artificial intelligence and society.
The RFKennedy Compass Investor Conference, led by Kerry Kennedy, president of RFK Human Rights and the daughter of the late Robert Kennedy, is a core program that engages asset managers and allocators to promote investment approaches that deliver superior risk-adjusted returns and place emphasis on human rights. Through a series of invitation-only, off-the-record gatherings held annually, this conference brings together close to 150 decision-makers from public and private pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, and family offices who collectively control $5-7 trillion in assets.
