Canterbury Consulting was nationally recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Money Management in 2021 by Pensions & Investments. The award marks the second year this program has recognized Canterbury for its employee engagement and workplace culture.
“Our culture has grown stronger during the pandemic,” said President Debashis Chowdhury, CFA, Canterbury Consulting. “As we planned our new working environment, we deliberately sought to leverage our cultural foundation to ensure our vision, goals, and values continued to serve our clients as a cohesive unit. While daily in-person interactions may have waned, our team leaders have been extraordinarily creative in finding new ways to keep our culture intact.”
In its 10th year, P&I’s Best Places to Work in Money Management is a research-driven program from Best Companies Group that examines qualified companies on their practices, programs, benefits, and employee sentiment.
The program’s survey consisted of two parts. In part one, the employer completed a questionnaire about the firm’s policies, practices, benefits, and demographics. Best Companies then confirmed U.S. employment numbers for each firm. The engagement and satisfaction survey consisted of 78 statements emailed to employees and asked to respond on a 1-to-5 scale of “Disagree Strongly” to “Agree Strongly.” Two questions also were asked: What did the firm do to make it a place where people wanted to work, and what things could the company do to increase employee satisfaction and productivity.
